OPINION: Why YOU Should Attend the Accredited Sustainability (CSR) Workshop hosted by the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (Sept. 14 & 15 in DC)

As many of us in the sustainability consulting world know, there are a ton of consultants out there calling themselves “experts” in green. But as we also know, just because you read Green to Gold doesn’t make you a sustainability expert or a qualified sustainability consultant.

That’s why SSC is so committed to helping new consultants build their core competencies. We want the sustainability consulting world to be filled with confident, qualified people to help strengthen the discipline. That’s why we built the SSC Green Auditor Certification program – to allow a new consultant the opportunity to enter the field with confidence. With the certification they can provide a proven product and valuable service backed up by a reputable consultancy.

So, when the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) announced that it was hosting an Accredited Sustainability (CSR) Workshop in September in DC, we were thrilled to spread the word. One of the reasons we were so excited: the workshop is accredited.

It is a great opportunity for new consultants to attend a workshop accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IMEA). IMEA is the largest professional membership body in the environmental field in the world.

Just like LEED has brought green buildings to a whole new accredited, legitimate level, organizations like IMEA and CSE are working hard to up the ante in terms of sustainability and CSR. This workshop is going to provide professionals real takeaways in valuable areas of sustainability and CSR – for consultants or for internal staff – and a legitimate accreditation certificate to go along with it.

Accredited workshops, such as this one, offer an opportunity for consultants at all skill levels to solidify and differentiate their qualifications.

Our advice: register now.
