Throughout the month we’ve discussed some of the challenges and benefits of environmental marketing and communications when sharing your green efforts with the public. Although of equal importance, sharing this information within your organization can get overlooked. Most green marketing efforts are targeted to the public as a way of communicating value, but did you know that CSR efforts have a positive impact on employee retention?
A 2010 study by the Center for Creative Leadership found that CSR programs are linked to how committed an employee is to their employer. They found this to be true at all pay grades, ages, and job levels. Consistently, the higher an employee rated the company’s efforts, the more committed they were to the organization.
