American Greetings Corporation

In 2006 and 2007, SSC worked with American Greetings Corporation at its headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. The company was examining its sustainability strategy in light of Walmart’s recent announcements concerning the greening of its supply chain. International Finance Corporation and Tetra Tech

From 2009-2010, the IFC Adaption Program hired Tetra Tech to examine the role of private sector adaptation opportunities to minimize the impacts of climate change. The specific project looked at the Kaufue Gorge Hydropower utility provider and the potential role it may play in climate change mitigation and adaption. Market Penetration LP(MP) is a manufacturer’s representative/distributor of materials handling equipment that has been in business sinve 1978. MP is a family-owned and operated business with seven full-time employees. MP contacted SSC in September 2009 for assistance in developing a Sustainability Statement that would demonstrate its commitment and policies related to environmental sustainability. National Council on Agricultural Life and Labor Research Fund, Inc.

In September, 2008 we conducted an SSC Green Audit at National Council on Agricultural Life and Labor Research Fund, Inc. (NCALL), surveying their employees, calculating their carbon footprint, and suggesting the most strategic and cost effective way to go green. Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, Inc.

NHS Chicago started building green demonstration homes in 1992, and began energy efficient practices as of April 2008. NHS Chicago was the trailblazer in Chicago’s green building movement, building the first green home in the city in 1992. The term “green” to NHS Chicago refers to an increase in energy efficiency, improvements in indoor air quality and health, and the use of durable and sustainable materials.
