EVENT: The Greenbuild International Conference

Whew!  It’s still summer in DC.  Yes, late August is approaching, which means the end is in sight, but all that means is the daily high temperatures are only around 90 instead of 100.

This weather makes us long for crisp evenings, large bodies of water, and refreshing sea breezes.  We crave a magical land where the people are friendly and diverse, the food incredible, the nightlife and culture world-class, and the towers superfluously tall

Fortunately, on the shores of Lake Ontario, this divine place exists. Toronto is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the continental US.  With August being our sustainability innovations month, we thought we’d feature a really interesting event that’s coming up in Toronto from October 4th – 6th (you know, before it gets unreasonably cold there).

The Greenbuild International Conference and Expo meets annually (last year it was in another lovely city by a lake – Chicago) and showcases countless nifty sustainable products made by more than 1,000 companies.  It’s been around for 18 years, and it’s the world’s largest gathering for the green building community.  Last year’s Expo featured ideas for citywide sustainability change, myriad networking and job opportunities, convenient eco-friendly household appliances, educational opportunities, expert speakers, and more.

If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to learn about the leading edge of the green building movement, or even if you just want an excuse to get out of town, think about registering.  Everything you need to know is on Greenbuild’s website.

By the way…did you know we have a whole bunch of resources on our website dedicated to green building topics?  Well we do!  Check out what we have to offer here.
