Have you been thinking about launching your own sustainability consulting practice or maybe taking your current practice to the next level? Maybe you are looking to build your consulting skills to attract, capture, and retain a solid client base? Have you established systems to run your business … so that your business doesn’t run you? Well we have heard many of these questions and more so Jennifer Woofter is leading the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) 2013 Consultant Cohort program to help sustainability consultants launch successful practices. The program kicks off with a half-day workshop in May and continues for six months with bi-weekly web meetings, a private Facebook group, and a massive list of additional resources to provoke learning well-beyond 2013. Also, while you are mulling it over, we just want to remind you that it will fill up fast and ISSP is already accepting participants.
So what can you expect? Well, in a nutshell, this program is an intensive collaborative experience for small business or solo-preneur sustainability consultants. The group will meet every two weeks to explore, develop, and refine core concepts of sustainability consulting. The primary focus will be on the practical aspects of consulting that include branding, project management, financial and legal matters, and client engagement.
Before you get started you should know that this six-month experience is not for the faint of heart! It has been designed specifically to challenge and inspire you to ask tough questions and find solutions to every aspect of your consulting business.
