The World Economic Forum’s 2022 Global Risk Report has been released and pulls together insights from more than 1,000 thought leaders from the worlds of academia, business, government, and society, and 12,000 country-level leaders.
The report explores individuals' perceptions as they relate to short, medium, and long term risk. It will not come as a surprise that there are major concerns across the board associated with climate change issues such as “extreme weather” and “climate action failure.”
Other topics that were a focus of this year’s report included Digital Dependencies and Cyber Security, Barriers to Migration, Crowding and Competition in Space, and Refreshing Resilience — a look at adaptive resilience during the second year of the pandemic.
It seems clear that the concerns raised about the environment are likely to be driving forces behind future efforts to improve climate action response. Take a look at this powerful report to ensure you are in the loop on the biggest risks facing the world today.
